Mijn beste aankoop ooit (serieus)

Ik kocht dit shirt eigenlijk gewoon omdat ik t mooi vind en een La Machine Fanboy ben, maar ik had nooit verwacht dat het mijn hele leven zou veranderen.

Sinds ik dit kekke “I Brake for Croissants” t shirt draag is mijn wereld veranderd. Ik stop niet meer alleen voor croissants, maar ook voor de kleine dingen. De vogels klinken ineens vrolijker, de zon schijnt warmer, en *ik zweer het* mijn zuurdesem rijst sinds ik dit shirt heb eindelijk zoals het hoort.

Laatst kwam ik met de velo bij de bakker met het shirt aan. Nog voordat ik mijn bestelling kon doen, schoof de bakker me spontaan een extra croissant toe. Hij keek me aan met een blik van puur begrip en zei: "Jij snapt het, hè?"

De pasvorm is trouwens ook top. Niet zo'n strak ding waar je in moet zweten, maar precies goed. Comfortabel genoeg om de hele dag in te leven, en vooral: altijd klaar voor onverwachte patisserie.

Het is inmiddels ook mijn gesprekstarter. Mensen kijken op straat, knikken instemmend en m’n wielrenmatties steken stuk voor stuk hun duim op. Laatst zei iemand: "Eindelijk iemand die durft te zeggen waar het echt om gaat." Zelfs mijn Pinarello Dogma lijkt beter te remmen sinds ik dit ding draag.

Ik durf niet te zeggen of dit shirt de wereldvrede gaat brengen, maar er wordt in mijn omgeving in ieder geval een stuk meer gebakken en een stuk minder ruzie gemaakt.

Kortom: koop dit shirt. Haast is overrated, een goede croissant is voor altijd.
